Based on the super-ellipsoidal model, the invariant imbedding T-matrix method (IITM) was employed to accurately calculate the single-scattering optical properties of non-spherical sea salt and dust aerosol particles in the thermal infrared band (3\u201315 \u03bcm). Building on this methodology, bimodal particle size distributions (PSD) for sea salt and dust aerosol were successfully constructed using global ground-based observation data from the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET). These results were integrated into bulk optical properties ready for direct input into radiative transfer simulations.
