Citrobacter koseri is an emerging Gram-negative bacterial pathogen, for which a novel S16-like C. koseri myovirus vB_CkoM_CkP1 (CkP1) was isolated and characterized. CkP1 is a unique phage displaying maximal broad host range against C. koseri, but not infecting other species. In this study, we sequenced 5 spontaneous mutants resistant to CkP1 to identify candidate genes for the phage receptor.
