Hourly ISIMIP3a atmospheric climate input data

This dataset provides hourly atmospheric climate data derived from temporal disaggregation of daily ISIMIP3a climate input data (Lange et al., 2025) using the version 1.3 of the Teddy tool (Zabel and Poschlod, 2023).<br>This dataset provides hourly factual (obsclim) and counterfactual (counterclim) atmospheric climate input data for the four historical reconstructions 20CRv3, 20CRv3–ERA5, 20CRv3–W5E5, and GSWP3–W5E5. Additionally, it provides a 50-year transition (spin-up) dataset for GSWP3–W5E5 covering 1851–1900, intended to allow model spin-up before switching into either obsclim or counterclim forcing, which is also provided in hourly resolution.<br>It includes the following variables: humidity (hurs [%]), precipitation (pr [mm h-1]), air pressure (ps[hPa]), incoming longwave solar radiation (rlds[W m-2]), incoming shortwave solar radiation (rsds[W m-2]), 10m wind speed (sfcwind[m s-1]), 2m air temperature (tas[K]). Snowfall and specific humidity are not included but can be estimated from other provided fields.
