The C. indica ADT1 strain used in this study was collected from Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute, Aduthurai, India. Genomic DNA was extracted using the CTAB method with modifications to ensure high quality DNA suitable for sequencing. The DNA was quantified using Qubit 4.0 and assessed for purity using agarose gel electrophoresis and Nanodrop spectrophotometry. Library preparation was performed using Illumina TruSeq DNA library prep kit, and sequencing was carried out on the Illumina Novaseq 6000 platform with PE150 paired end bases at ONEOMICS PRIVATE LIMITED, Tiruchirappalli, India. High-quality reads were assembled de novo using SPAdes tool. The draft genome assembly was evaluated for completeness using BUSCO.
