资源简介:
This project offers datasets and companion code linked to Galveston Island, Texas, serving as a comprehensive testbed for assessing infrastructure resilience against hurricane-induced hazards. Situated along the Gulf Coast of Mexico, Galveston Island faces multiple threats, including extreme winds, storm surge, and coastal flooding. Established by the NIST Community Resilience Center of Excellence, the Galveston testbed is designed for examining multi-hazard damage, economic loss, population dislocation, and long-term recovery of interdependent infrastructure systems. It provides datasets covering built, natural, and social systems specific to Galveston Island. The built environment includes residential buildings, a detailed distribution-level electric power network, and a transportation network augmented with bridges providing mainland access. Social-systems data include tract-level vulnerability indicators and Census geography. Hazard data include ADCIRC+SWAN simulated storm fields, FEMA flood-depth rasters, and a LiDAR topographic DEM. A companion code repository, hosted on GitHub, contains the full analysis pipeline—Jupyter notebooks that reproduce the multi-hazard damage assessment, multi-objective mitigation optimization, and post-processing equity analyses presented in the associated paper. These datasets and code are valuable for researchers, policymakers, and urban planners who aim to perform community-level multi-hazard risk assessment and decision-support analysis in the coastal urban context of Galveston, Texas.
