Annual density and biomass of seagrass fauna on the Virginia Coast, 2019

These data are annual estimates of the density (counts) and biomass (dry mass) of infauna and epifauna in restored seagrass meadows of the Virginia coastal bays. Estimates are separated into taxonomic groups: worms, isopods, amphipods, bivalves, crabs, gastropods, and shrimp. Infauna were collected by hand using benthic cores and epifauna were collected using throw traps. Sampling was conducted in July at 50 sites, with 3 replicates per sampling method per site. Data collection began in the summer of 2019 and continues annually.
