Transcript profiling of cultured T47D cells stimulated with either human or mouse prolactin

T47D cells were grown in standard 2D culture in 10% charcoal/dextran-treated FBS (CSS). Approximately 2*10^6 cells were seeded per well in 6-well tissue culture plates. The cells were grown overnight and serum-starved for 16 h in RPMI-1640 medium supplemented with 0.5% CSS prior to treatment. Cells were then exposed to either vehicle, 2.5 nM human prolactin or 2.5 nM mouse prolactin for 12 h. RNA was extracted and RNASeq performed to elucidate the transcripts differentially modulated by human or mouse prolactin.
