资源简介:
Pregnant women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are considered at higher risk of developing GDM, type2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) , and other severe pregnancy complications, such as obesity. The aim of this study was to investigate (MTNR1B)rs1387153,(PPARa) rs4253778 and (TCF7L2)rs12255372 polymorphisms in the genetic background of pregnant and non-pregnant black women with their predisposition to develop GDM within eThekwini health district. Eighty-seven women with and without GDM history were suitable for the study. Data was collected KwaDabeka CHC, KwaMashu CHC and King Edward VIII Tertiary Hospital. Questionnaires, healthcare/clinic registry, and antenatal cards were used to collect clinical data. whole blood samples (2-4ml)were collected into vacutainer EDTA tubes for molecular analysis/DNA extraction/genotyping of single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP).The tables 1, 2, and 3 represented SNP genotypes of study variants, number of participants volunteered(n=103), whether they pregnant or not, had GDM or not , amplification sizes and genotyping results.Table 1- (PPARa) rs4253778, Table 2- (MTNR1B)rs13887153, and Table 3-(TCF7L2)rs12255372 Genotyping results.
