资源简介:
Full resolution XRF images used in the study "SPATIAL ASSOCIATION BETWEEN PLATINUM MINERALS AND MAGMATIC SULFIDES IMAGED WITH THE MAIA MAPPER AND IMPLICATIONS FOR THE ORIGIN OF THE CHROMITE-SULFIDE-PGE ASSOCIATION" published in Canadian Mineralogist by Barnes et al. (submitted)\nLineage: Data were collected using the CSIRO Maia Mapper at Kensington, WA and Clayton, VIC. The instrument comprises an Excillum D2+ MetalJet X-ray source and a Maia 384 Array X-ray detector. Data were processed from raw spectra using the Dynamic Analysis method within the GeoPIXE software. \n\nPixel resolution is 30 microns in all cases, with scanning times adjusted to give between 4 and 6 milliseconds per pixel. This gives an approximate theoretical detection limit of a few tens of ppm of Pt, which is sufficient to “see” a ~1 micron grain of a Pt rich mineral in a 30x30 micron pixel.
