Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovars are considered nowadays as a major cause of food poisoning. First, the present study investigates the genomic-based prediction of serovars based on a collection of Salmonella isolated in Lebanon. Secondly, the phylogenomic relationships between S. Enteritidis genomes of strains isolated from infected human and contaminated food from Lebanon and other countries were investigated based on single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), Salmonella pathogenicity islands (SPI), plasmids and antibiotic resistance genes.
