Mrk 590 is one of the best monitored changing-look AGN. After a decay during which the continuum dimmed and the optical broad line disappeared together with the soft X-ray excess comma Mrk 590 is now awakening and broad line and soft excess have re-emerged. We request two relatively inexpensive openPar25 ksclosePar observations comma that will be spaced by about 6 months comma to follow the X-ray spectral evolution during the current rise. The recently discovered QPE phenomenon openParMiniutti et al 2019 comma NatureclosePar may be invoked to account for the spectacular variability of this and other changing-look AGNs. If so comma the analogy predicts that the soft X-ray excess should increase in strength and temperature during the rise.
