On 27 February 2025, during the evening when Tropical Cyclone GARANCE made landfall in La Réunion, a Red Alert was declared for the western part of the island from 19:00 UTC. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide initial rough estimation of the event, the extent of impacts and damage assessment emergency mapping.
