This dataset is developed by analyzing the consumption amount, consumption count and consumption cycle of members from Jiuzhou Pharmacy Liuxia Store to determine member tiers. It can be applied not only to store member classification management, personalized precision marketing and service optimization strategy formulation, but also to pharmaceutical-related enterprises or institutions that require analysis of consumer behavior patterns and consumption capacity, including same-type pharmaceutical e-commerce and retail enterprises, health management and consulting service institutions, pharmaceutical R&D and production enterprises, financial institutions and insurance companies, among others.
1. Data Source
Data including member information, consumption time and consumption amount of Jiuzhou Pharmacy Liuxia Store in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province were collected for this dataset.
2. Data Processing
Based on the collected data, three metrics for members of the store within a one-year statistical cycle were analyzed: 1) consumption amount, referring to the total expenditure of a single member during the statistical cycle; 2) consumption count, i.e., the member's purchase frequency; 3) consumption cycle, referring to the time interval between consecutive member purchases to judge their activity level. Five member tiers were defined based on these three metrics:
- Core Members: Members with consumption amount ≥ a1, consumption count ≥ b1 and consumption cycle ≤ c1, who contribute the most to the store;
- Ordinary Members: Members with a2 ≤ consumption amount < a1, b2 ≤ consumption count < b1 and c1 < consumption cycle ≤ c2, who maintain stable consumption with a certain frequency and amount, forming a steady customer base;
- Light Sleep Members: Members with a3 ≤ consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ consumption count < b2 and c2 < consumption cycle ≤ c3, whose consumption frequency has declined but still make occasional purchases;
- Moderate Sleep Members: Members with a3 ≤ consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ consumption count < b2 and c2 < consumption cycle ≤ c3, whose consumption interval is extended and consumption count has significantly decreased;
- Deep Sleep Members: Members with 0 ≤ consumption amount < a3, consumption count < b3 and c3 < consumption cycle ≤ 12, who have not made any consumption for an extended period and are nearly inactive;
- Severe Sleep Members: Members with 0 yuan consumption amount, 0 consumption count and consumption cycle > 12, who are even less active than Deep Sleep Members and require targeted reactivation strategies.
The specific numerical values of a1, a2, a3 (for consumption amount), b1, b2, b3 (for consumption count) and c1, c2, c3 (for consumption cycle) are trade secrets of the applicant enterprise.
