In 2023, the expenditure of domestic tourists in Europe equaled the figure from 2019, recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, domestic tourism spending in the region amounted to 1.27 trillion euros in 2023. This figure was predicted to reach an estimated 1.33 trillion euros in 2024.
