VPRS 16513 Dental Technicians Licensing Committee Roll

The Dental Technicians Licensing Committee (VA 1344) was constituted under Part 1 of the Dental Technicians Act 1972 (No. 8366). The Act came into operation on 1/12/1974. The Committee was responsible for supervising the conduct of dental technicians and the practice of dental mechanics by dental technicians. The committee consisted of eight members, each from a different professional body. The final meeting of the Committee was held on 14/06/2000. The Dental Practice Act 1999 (No. 26/1999) provided for a single regulatory body, The Dental Practice Board of Victoria (VA 4868), to replace the existing Dental Board, Advanced Dental Technicians Qualifications Board and Dental Technicians Licencing Committee.The committee was responsible for creating and maintaining a roll of licensed dental technicians containing the full name of every licensed dental technician, their residential address and the address of their place of work.
