Electoral boundaries — Local Government Areas

It covers the area from approximately Gympie to the north, Toowoomba to the west and the New South Wales state border to the south.\n\nThe current boundaries of Brisbane are defined by the [City of Brisbane Regulation 2012](https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/sl-2012-0235).\n\nEach local government area is made up of a reasonable proportion of electors in the state to ensure democratic representation.
