Leading type of bank identified as main bank by companies in Japan 2021, by region

As of October 2021, around 19.5 percent of surveyed companies in Japan identified city banks as their main bank. Broken down by region, more than 30 percent of companies in the Kanto and Kinki region perceived city banks as their main banks. At the same time, regional banks were identified as main banks by a majority of companies in most of the other regions.
