All parameters were assumed to be positive and prior distributions truncated at 0. r = production rate virus per target cell per week, δ = death rate of infected cells per week, k = killing rate per immune cell per week. In the immune control model the prior distribution of δ is changed to mean 3.5 and precision 0.25, in order to obtain a prior distribution of the total death rate (δ+kE) that is consistent with published data [92].
