Current direction, current speed, water temperature, and others collected from moorings and CTD casts taken from research vessel Justo Sierra in Straits of Florida from 2012-07-08 to 2025-10-01 (NCEI Accession 0246339)

This dataset contains current direction and current speed taken by ADCP and single point current meters, water temperature taken by MicroCATs, and others taken by CTD from moorings and research vessel Justo Sierra in Straits of Florida, between Key West, FL and Cuba. The moorings were deployed on 2012-07-08 during Canek26 cruise and recovered during Canek65 cruise in Nov. 2025.

This dataset is U.S. State Department MSR RATS U2012-010, U2013-011, U2014-009, U2016-014, U2018-011, U2019-028, U2023-012, and U2025-010 as part of the World Data Service for Oceanography. Data are in NetCDF and text format. Cruise reports are in PDF and DOC. The dataset also contains raw (unprocessed) data in proprietary formats.
