Mechanism research of CBX8 represses invasiveness of prostate cancer cells. Homo sapiens

To investigate the biological function of Chromobox protein homolog 8 (CBX8) in prostate cancer, and to analyze the role of CBX8 in gene regulation in the prostate cancer cells. Short hairpin RNA (ShRNA) was used to knock down CBX8 in the prostate cancer cell line DU145. Transcriptional RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was used to analyze the genes affected by knocking down CBX8, ChIP-seq of H3K27me3 was used to profile the enrichment of H3K27me3 modification affected by CBX8 knockdown.
