Private equity activity expectations in the U.S. 2023, by sector

Private equity activity in the United States is expected to be challenging throughout 2024, but some industries might be better off than others. According to a survey conducted among senior executives at PE firms in the U.S., 90 percent of respondents expected higher PE activity in the technology sector in the next 12 months. On the other hand, only four percent of respondents expected increased PE activity in the transport sector.
