Metagenomic analysis of the infected chickpea roots by 16s and ITS amplicon sequencing.

The project investigates bacterial and fungal diversity in the chickpea roots infected with dry root rot disease. Further, the study compares the microbial population in dry root rot infected plots under well-water and drought-stress treatments to investigate the impact of drought on the pathogenic and symbiotic microbial community and understand the subsequent effect on the plants.
