Temperature records from the BB Mooring in the Southern Adriatic Sea from 2012 to 2025

This data set comprises 24 files in NetCDF format, containing temperature data from mooring site BB in the Southern Adriatic Sea measured at 567, 584 and 591 m depth. The data covers the period from 2012 to 2025. SBE56 Temperature Sensor at 567 m covers the period 2012 - 2025; at 584 m covers the period March-June 2012 and from April 2023 to May 2025; at 591m covers the period June - November 2012. The stand-alone moorings are equipped with a suite of sensors that measure physical and biogeochemical properties within the last 100 meters of the water column. These moorings have been configured and maintained for continuous long-term monitoring. The moorings are part of the Southern Adriatic Submarine Observatory of the EMSO-ERIC European Consortium and remain operational. The metadata associated with this dataset comply with EMSO metadata specifications. The moorings are supported by a grant from Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia within the framework of the Joint Research Unit EMSO Italia. This funding is part of the resources allocated by the Italian Ministry of University and Research for international activities related to the European Research Infrastructure EMSO, as well as a grant from the Ufficio Programmazione e Grant Office of CNR-Italy (CNR-UPGO). This version maintains clarity and precision while adhering to scientific conventions.
