A total of three bulk soil samples from the Pine Nut Mountains, Nevada, were floated to
recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were extracted
from a Holocene debris flow unit truncated by a possible young earthquake displacement.
Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable
material was separated.
