VPRS 3703 Mining Registrar's Certificate Books, Daylesford Mining Division

This series consists of Certificate Books maintained by the Mining Registrar of the Daylesford Mining Division of the Castlemaine Mining District.In each of these cases, the books contained two identical certificates. Both are completed, one is torn out and given to the applicant and the other is retained in the book. Almost each book contains completed as well as unused certificates. In terms of the former, it would appear that the applicant did not collect their certificate.The following types of certificate books are contained in this series;- Notice of Application of Registration of Claims (2 books spanning June 1933 - February 1974)- Certificate of Registration of Claims (March 1943 - February 1974)- Certificate of Protective Registration of Claim (January 1942 - November 1959)- Certificate of Registration of Water-Right, Race, etc (one only, issued in July 1918).
