资源简介:
The hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) is a critically endangered sea turtle belonging to the family Cheloniidae. It is the only extant species in the genus Eretmochelys. The species has a global distribution that is largely limited to tropical and subtropical marine and estuary ecosystems (from Wikipedia entry). This sample from a juvenile was procured by Claudia Cedillo and Camryn Allen of the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center and coordinated by Camila Mazzoni and Lisa Komoroske to generate a high-quality reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing was conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
