MADAGASCAR (2011): FAMILY PLANNING TRaC STUDY EVALUATING THE USE OF MODERN CONTRACEPTIVES AMONG WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE. FOURTH ROUND

From December 2010 to March 2011, PSI/Madagascar conducted a household survey designed to investigate practices related to family planning among women 15-49 years of age. The primary goal of this fourth-round survey was to provide evidence for social marketing decision making as well as helping to measure the impact of various interventions and strategies. The four cross sectional surveys were conducted in October/November 2004 (baseline) and 2006, November/December 2008, and December 2010 to March 2011. A national sample of women aged between 15 and 49 years old was selected for each of these studies and all surveys employed multi-stage stratified sampling .Rural and urban areas were used to stratify all results.
