Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is the fifth most important cereal crop in the world. It is an annual C4 crop having a high biomass, used widely, and has a strong resistance to stress. Obviously, there are many benefits of planting sorghum on marginal soils such as saline-alkali land. Overall design: Total RNA was extracted from wild type Sorghum bicolor BTx623 at the four-leaf-stage under normal conditions, moderate saline-alkali soil stress treatment (3‰ salt content, pH 8.1), severe saline-alkali soil stress treatment (5‰ salt content, pH 8.1), with three biological replicates.
