Harmonised country-level dataset and analysis code for the structural geography of epidemic financing since 2000

Harmonised country-level dataset (76 low- and middle-income countries) and fully reproducible analysis scripts characterising the structural geography of epidemic financing for HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria from 2000 onwards. The dataset integrates the IHME Development Assistance for Health database, UNAIDS, the WHO Global Tuberculosis Report, the WHO World Malaria Report, the Global Fund, Policy Cures Research G-FINDER, the WHO Global Health Expenditure Database, and the Global Burden of Disease 2021 study into a single analytical frame. Financing flows are classified jointly by source (domestic vs international) and purpose (operational delivery vs research and development), and matched to an age-standardised infectious-disease vulnerability proxy derived from GBD 2021. The Python scripts reproduce all statistics, tables, and figures of the accompanying manuscript: regional summary statistics, Spearman rank correlations (global and within-region), the four-quadrant regime taxonomy, the two main figures, pairwise between-region Mann–Whitney U tests with Bonferroni adjustment, and four pre-specified sensitivity analyses.
