This survey documents the local experiences of rural indigenous residents experiencing rapid climate change. Residents reported financial and emotional stress, and revealed attitudes towards a referendum like survey on relocation of the village and potential federal buyout directed at either the community as a whole or individual households. The household survey was designed in close collaboration with local research partners including tribal entities, local health authorities, and local village corporation a local landowner and one of 200 village corporations established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). Survey design followed the tailored design method and was administered in-person by local personnel via hand-held devices that connected to an online survey platform. Respondents received a $20 incentive payment for taking the survey. Responses were collected during summer and fall 2021 attempting a census of the 146 households.
