This study explores the impact of siesta deprivation (SD), both alone and in combination with caffeine administration (SD+Cf), on the gut microbiota of mice. Male ICR mice were randomly assigned to three groups: a control group with no interventions, an SD group, and an SD+Cf group. After a two-week intervention period, fecal samples were collected at Zeitgeber time 0 (ZT0) and Zeitgeber time 12 (ZT12) for gut microbiota analysis using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. This research aims to elucidate how siesta disruption and caffeine intake affect the composition and diversity of intestinal microbial communities.
