Steep Slope Viewer

Overview This application shows detailed steep slope areas in Connecticut. Steep slope layers are derived from a 10-feet and 2-feet per pixel DEM and represents Moderate (10%-15%), Steep (15%-20%), Very Steep (20%+) areas. Derived from the 2023 Digital Elevation Model. Instructions To review whether a parcel is designated as a land already committed to public use, zoom to your target area. Parcels and Steep Slopes layers will appear when the map is zoomed in past a zoom scale of less than 1:40,000. Click on a parcel to view the percent of slope intensity in that parcel. Use the filters in the top right to query the map by Municipality or Council of Government.
