Rhodosporidium toruloides haploid mating pair A1/A2 genome sequencing, transcriptome sequencing and assemblies

Rhodosporidium toruloides is a red oleaginous yeast species that naturally produces high level of lipids and carotenoids in high density fermentation process. Our laboratory has been developing this yeast as a novel microbial cell factory for the production of high-value bioproducts. This project focus on the carotenoid synthesis and the mating process.
