Curious about Care - Ingredients, Method, Serving Suggestion, APT Gallery, London, 2016

Curious about Care is a series of painting machines reliant on the attention of others for their activation. By making public the role of care in the machine’s maintenance and upkeep this research seeks to understand if actively engaging the hand of others in the manufacture of a painting, in real time and with an audience, alters engagement and broadens access to the complex debates inherent in the works.This item contains documentation of the work Overspill I designed and installed for the exhibition Ingredients, Method, Serving Suggestion at APT Gallery, London, August 2016.Image used courtesy of Aleana Turner.
