Trifolium repens L. root-associated microbial analysis

Phytoremediation is an effective way to repair lead contaminated soil and fine-scale microorganisms play an important role in plant regulation. However, little is known about the structural, diversity and function of microbial communities inhabiting different fine-scale compartments. Here we carried out a stratified rhizobox experiment involving Trifolium repens L. under Pb-contamianted, and used high-throughput sequencing technology to investigate the Trifolium repens L. microbial microbiomes were characterized and their functions were predicted across compartments (the bulk soil, rhizosphere, rhizoplane, and endosphere).
