The prevalence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa is increasingly being implicated worldwide in a variety of infections and is associated with high mortality rates. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of an extensively drug-resistant (XDR) high-risk sequence type 244 (ST244) clone that was isolated from a grade-A hospital in Shandong Province, China. The dataset presented in this study provides essential insights into the underlying mechanisms of the highly antimicrobial-resistant of this high-risk clone P. aeruginosa strain and assists in the development of effective control strategies.
