资源简介:
The dataset consists of running physiology and biomechanics data. Subjects performed 5 types of runs in total with at an intensity below the anaerobic threshold. The first run was a free run, during which each runner’s natural (preferred) step frequency (cadence) was determined. The next three runs were performed with the metronome - the second run matched the runner's natural (preferred) step frequency (defined by first run). Third and fourth runs while the third and fourth runs were executed at cadences 2% higher and 2% lower than the natural one, respectively. Runners had to match each the signal of metronome with one foot every second step (once per stride). The final (fifth) was again - done freely. The aim of the research was to analyze how changes in running biomechanics, specifically, step frequency influences running economy and efficiency.
