Infection Dynamics and Biomarkers identification in Spotty Liver Disease in Chickens

We performed a time-course Campylobacter hepaticus infection experiment, the causative agent of Spotty Liver Disease, in commercial laying hens and collected various tissues at sequential time points from day 1 to day 7. RNA sequencing was then applied to profile hepatic gene expression changes during infection, enabling the identification of differentially expressed genes across the genome.
