Perceived shortcomings of journalists in Brazil 2021

During a 2021 survey conducted in Brazil, more than one-third (36 percent) of respondents said journalists very often got paid by their sources. Approximately 44 percent of the interviewees stated that journalists frequently teased the audience to get the attention for themselves. Between 2011 and 2021, the share of internet users who trusted traditional media in Brazil decreased by 18 percentage points.
