Eunicella gorgonians are ecologically important species in the Mediterranean, which are impacted by human pressures, including climate change. In the area of Marseille, the hybridisation between Eunicella cavolini and E. singularis has been suspected. We sequenced the transcriptome of individuals of E. cavolini, E. singularis, and E. verrucosa,, and of potential hybrids, to test the hypothesis of hybridisation. We also test speciation scenarios.
