A Pig Body Map Transcriptome Uncovers Diverse Organ Physiology with emphasis on skeletal muscle and adipose tissues and Evolutionary Dynamics of Transcription

We comprehensively enhanced the annotations of four kinds of biogenesis and functionally distinct transcripts.We characterize the transcriptomic variability with respect to the known organs/tissues-specific physiological activities, and identify key transcripts underlies economically important phenotypes in pig (remarkably, the production of healthier pork).We also investigated seven homologous organs/tissues from nine major mammalian models and a bird, with the goal of examine the evolutionary dynamics of transcription among animal models in a comparative transcriptomic framework.
