Ustilago sp. HFJ311 Raw sequence reads

To find as many transcribed genes as possible, we collected mycelial cells of HFJ311 grown under different conditions. We studied the gene expression of HFJ311 at different growth stages by starting with a single fungus colony in YEPS and PDB liquid media. After 4 and 10 daysof growing, we collected the hyphal cells. The cells were washed three times with a 10 mM PBS buffer and quickly frozen in liquid nitrogen. To check gene transcription on solid medium, we placed a single colony on 1/2 MS medium. We also collected samples of the fungus grown under cadmium stress and when co-cultivated with Arabidopsis thaliana seedlings after 7 days, as described in our earlier study.The library was sequenced using an Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform, producing 150 bp paired-end reads.
