VPRS 16919 Operation Book of the Royal Children's Hospital Orthopaedic Section, Frankston

This register records the operations performed at the Royal Children's Hospital Orthopaedic Section between 1964 and 1970. Information recorded includes name, sex and age of patient, serial number, date of operation, the name of the surgeon and anaesthetist, the disease, and the operation performed. At the end of each financial year are a total number of operations performed. At the beginning of the book is a loose piece of paper providing a list of the number of operations performed and plasters from 1930 to 1969. It is unknown if there were previous volumes in this series, however as this volume is only partially filled this suggests that there were no subsequent volumes.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 1996/002.
