Understanding animal genomes, especially differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between milk and milk replacers, might be helpful for research on milk replacers . As one of the largest metabolic organs of the body, the liver is involved in the metabolism of plant proteins. Transcriptomics is a major tool in studying animal nutrition and health and is widely employed in biological system research . Transcriptomics provides insights into the biological functions of experimental materials in animals and genes that are upregulated or downregulated in response to the test materials . Recently, with the development of RNA-Seq technology, transcriptomics has promoted genome research of biological systems and enables the generation of biological information about experimental targets .
