Determination of the influence of alternative chemical-analytical reprocessing methods on the evaluation of solid substitute fuels "EBS-Analytik"

The guideline for substitute fuels of the Ministry of Life provides regulations for the determination procedures of substitute fuels, which are to be incorporated into the amendment to the Waste Incineration Ordinance (AVV). The Federal Environment Agency has tested the influences of fine processing and alternative acid mixtures for the digestion of heterogeneous substitute fuels for the environmentally relevant parameters arsenic, lead, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, nickel, antimony, copper, zinc and mercury. It was examined whether the more complex refurbishment with centrifugal mills is justified. Alternative digestion methods used in the waste sector and for solid biofuels were compared and discussed. For plastic mixtures from the waste sector, another suitable acid mixture is proposed for the amendment to the AVV.
