Presence/absence data for Norway spruce population of Southern Rhodopes close to the border line between Greece and Bulgaria. The survey area (110,623 hectares) is divided into 1912 stands and into three forest management sections (Western Nestos River Section (WNR) with 67,043 hectares, North-Eastern Section (BAN) with 29,313 hectares and Trachoniou-Dipotamou-Drymou Section (TDR) with 14,267 hectares). Presence of Norway spruce has been recorded in 500 stands (26,398 hectares).
