Satellite observations reveal synchronous refinery flaring during the 2025 Iberian blackout: code and derived data
收藏资源简介:
Code and derived data of the manuscript "Satellite observations reveal synchronous refinery flaring during the 2025 Iberian blackout" (Montalban-Faet, Garcia-Pineda, Navarro and Segura-Garcia, Universitat de València; submitted to Scientific Reports). The archive contains the analysis code (Python), the environment specification (requirements.txt, requirements-lock.txt), the exact third-party queries and collection identifiers (QUERIES.md), SHA-256 checksums of every file, and the derived data cited in the text: the census of persistent industrial thermal sources from VIIRS and MODIS active-fire detections (2024–2025) with their attribution to the EEA Industrial Reporting register, the refinery frame, the event test and its robustness specifications, the observation status of every source at every overpass from the native fire masks, the excess fire radiative energy and its historical placebo, the audit of Sentinel-2 and Landsat SWIR scenes with the scene manifest, TROPOMI site means and detectability, EEA station lists with their hourly status, power-system series (Red Eléctrica, ENTSO-E), illustrative emission scenarios, and the first-party statements used in the attribution with their archived copies. The script check_srep.py verifies the numbers quoted in the manuscript against these outputs. Input data are not redistributed (NASA FIRMS, Copernicus Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-5P, USGS Landsat, ERA5, EEA, Red Eléctrica, ENTSO-E, Eurostat GISCO).
