We obtained the transcriptome of the stink bug, Nezara viridula. This bug is the principal pentatomide pest, causing important economic losses worldwide. Currently, it's control is mediated by high spectrum insecticides, which affect not only this pest, but other insects as well. Our goal is to identify genes involved in the survival and control of the physiological process, in order to recognize possible target sites for the generation of new and specific control methods
