Favorability of gerrymandering, by party U.S. 2018

According to a poll conducted in December 2018, 65 percent of respondents who identified as Democrats did not favor the practice of gerrymandering. While Republicans were slightly more likely to support gerrymandering than Democrats or Independents, 59 percent were still opposed.Gerrymandering is the process of deliberately changing the boundaries of electoral districts so as to favor one political party over another.
