In this study we resequenced 136 accessions of Lotus, discovered SNPs and proposed that there is a population structure and there exists 3 subpopulation in lotus population in Japan. The Lotus might have migrated first to southern Japan and then reached northern Japan. This is supported by PCA, structure, diversity analysis and PSMC analysis. We also did GWAS on various phenotypes.
